15 Years Of Making Change

FOCCISA Health and Gender Justice Network (FHGJN) is part of the Fellowship of Christian Councils in Southern Africa (FOCCISA). It is a network of people within the national Chrisitan Council that work on issues related to health and gender justice.

The goal of our work is to ensure the equality and dignity of every human being irrespective of gender, skin colour, social status, health, ethnic background, religious believes, age, sexual orientation, social class or abilities.

FHGJN provides a forum to share ideas and best practices, develop resources, build capacities, support, coordinate and ensure implementation of the program in all the member countries. In each of the countries the Christian Councils have about 10-25 denominations and Christian organizations as members. Through training and awareness raising of church leaders and lay people in all these member bodies, the program reaches every corner of the countries with people who work for change and social justice in our communities.
